Utility prices go up, sunlight stays free.
Remember what a gallon of gas cost 20 years ago? We do (we looked it up). In 1998, a gallon of gas cost $1.03, today a gallon of gas costs $2.72. And though many of us pay less attention to it, the same is true of electricity prices. In New Jersey today, a kWh costs between 15 and 19 cents, 20 years ago it cost 12 cents.
Do we have to ask if you’d rather pay 20-years-ago prices instead of today’s prices?
